If you install the game client there is a recovery link/button that takes you through to the GW2 pages where you can submit a support ticket.
Hi everyone, I am trying to recover my GW1 account to connect it to GW2. I have verified my ownership of it and all, but when Anet say that they have sent out a password reset email I am not getting one.
1. Input the correct four letter password to access Joon's files. The password is Q2D! (revealed in Chapter 7) The console is in the upper left (south) wing of Joon's residence. In order to enter a password you must interact with the console before destroying the secured core next to it.
I don't know if it's just me, but I am being flooded with emails every day saying my password has been reset, and to follow the link to complete the password reset. Solution: Arenanet could you please add a CAPTCHA or some more friction to the Password Reset form on your website? Being flooded with these emails is unnerving.

Assuming the behavior of asking for character names can't be changed or patched due to the age of the software. I would think this would alleviate at least the problems with tickets (such as mine) looking for a password reset when I have access to my full account info, including game key and ever

A friend had that problem, but it was because he was using his new (rather than his old GW1) email address. If that doesn't work, support.guildwars2.com. Kiliok • 12 yr. ago. Strange, I had to switch to another computer and do it through linux. the randomly generated password I was trying to use had been flagged as one that was used before or was unsafe. At the top of the page would drop down a frame that mentioned that but on my desktop pc, those frames weren't showing up at all.
